Happy Saturday

Well the weather is going to be great today so we are headed out to the pumpkin patch. I don't care how old your  kids get they still love going to pick  a pumpkin!
I've posted two  cards today. The Halloween is from my friend Patti C.  She is the very talented artist in the group! I'll have to post a few watercolors that she has done, one of them being a house picture which she does as a side business for when clients move.  She's very talented at her work!
The second card I did for my daughter's boss. It's his 40th Birthday. On the inside I cricuted a golf cart and placed it in grass and the sentiment says Happy "FORE-TY" ! She's the journalist/creative writer in the family so that was her part in the card!

Mona Lisa & Alcohol Inks

I made this by embossing a soda can then adding black Ranger alcohol inks. I stamped the Stampin Up image on glossy paper and used Ranger alcohol inks to get the  background affect! The alcohol inks are so fun to work with, try it on an old plastic light switchplate and see how great it will turn out. Its an  inexpensive way to change the look of your room.

A few Halloween Cards

Best Witches from my friend Terri F

This is a card from my friend Terri, they're  Stampin Up stamps and a cuttlebug folder. Love those google eyes on the spider!

Art Outline Ornament

Many layers, not a quick card but its very pretty

This is a Christmas card I made this weekend. The stamp is an Art Outline. I got it from Stamp Your Art Out in Blue Ash.  I stamped with Versa Mark ink and embossed it with Stampin Up detail silver embossing powder.  I had to stamp it out on the gold, cobbler red, night of navy and taken with teal each two times in order to cut enough images to cut. Then I cut out 8 layers and used foam tape to mount the cuts! Lots of work, but very pretty the picture doesn't do it justice.

It's Sunday already where does the weekend go? It's been beautiful weather so I didn't get  a ton of stamping done as planned. We must take advantage of these days while they are around.
I did have all the fall decorations up, probably for about 3 weeks now. However we decided to pull the carpet up and finish the floor in our dining area. So this meant me clearing out the china closet  and taking down all of the  fall decorations! The sanding gets everywhere so  I have to take everything down! What a chore makes me want to  down size on some things. Not any stamping stuff though! Well it will be beautiful when its done and I can move right into Christmas decorations when they are completed!
Here are a few cards for you. I love House Mouse designs they're so much fun to color with Copic Markers!  The Halloween stamps were a gift from my friend Peggy so I'm not sure where they are from.

trying to set up my blog!

Well this has been quite a challenge for me! If anyone ever reads this please have patience while I muddle my way through the world of technology. I'd much rather be creating my cards!
