Inchie Necklaces

When I was in Carlsbad Ca I took a calss at Gee Gees Stamp Store. We made these cool necklaces out of a product called Eco Art Board from the company Rubber Stamp Concepts. You can find them at Stamp Your Art Out in Cinti. They come in different sizes of squares and rectangles. You then stamp them with Stazon and can color them. The key is to heat set them between each step to prevent bleeding colors!. The final step you  will use a product from Judikins called flux. You take the inchie and wipe it over a Versamark pad then sprinkle the flux powder over it very evenly. Once the flux powder is even, you bake it for 7 minutes in the oven at 250 degrees. Let Cool before touching, then you can attach your  necklace bail and chin or just use them on cards or in scrapbooks as embellishments!

Back from San Diego!

Hello!
I'm back from visiting with my family in sunny SD! The baby is so cute I hated to leave him! Boy it brought back memories of my babies and as much as I love them I think its great to be an aunt or grandma where you can hug and squeeze them and then leave them!

My flight was canceled yesterday and I had to stay an extra day at a hotel and I had to bring my parents back early from their months stay due to some health problems with my mom. So I'm sorry but I  don't have a card for you today, I literally just walked in the door! I did get to take an inchies class while I was there so I'll try to get it posted for you tomorrow!

Can't wait to sleep in my own bed!

Aglamesis Card

Well you have to live in Cincinnati to know what Aglamesis is. For those of you that don't its an ice cream parlour established in the 1800's. My grandfather worked there and it's where my husband and I met working at our first jobs at the age of 17! Its still the best ice cream ever  and certainly is far better than Graeters! This cricut cartridge totally reminds me of the shop in all its pink glory with the couple sharing a soda!

Copic Giraffe

I'm not the best at coloring but I'm very proud of this one! I used Copic Markers and I think I love Y21 as a
blending color with my brown copics!

Mona Lisa

This was a technique card where I used a soda can, cut it and enbossed it with the Big Shot. Then I wiped Black Stazon over it and let it dry. For the back ground of the Mona Lisa I used Alcohol inks from Ranger. I love these inks because you can create wonderful back grounds on glossy paper and  can use it on dominoes, light switchplate covers, frames, tiles anything with a glossy, slick surface .

Wedding Card

It's almost time for all of those summer weddings. I used House Mouse stamps and Prisma Oil Pencils and Gamisol for this.  I generally don't use yellow in my cards so this was me going out of my box. Yes I know I'm such a risk taker! LOL!

Alone time!

Good morning! Just wanted to let everyone know I'm headed to visit my family out west for a couple of weeks. All by myself that is. My DH and girls will be staying home while I take my parents to see their great grand son for the first time. He's 5 months old now and so cute with the best cheeks to squeeze and kiss on! I got to meet him in February for a few short hours where I fell in love with him! So now I will get to spend alot of time with him getting my baby fix in! The best part is I don't have to be a parent just a great aunt and spoil him!

Keep checking my blog because I will have daily posts of cards while I'm gone. And remember to click on followers and sign in so you will get updates when I post! And I really love to hear your comments!

Won't be missing this rain in sunny California!

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

I found a sale bin at Hobby Lobby and purchased  stickers for some quick Birthday cards! I always want to make and give  handmade cards but sometimes when you know its going to a youngster that can't appreciate your time, these are great! I will cut cardstock and embooss it ahead of time with my Big Shot then its just a matter of  sticking  it all together. I especially love to use the dimensional stickers not the flat stickers. It just looks more professional!
Its Wednesday we're almost to the weekend!
